Peter Aman Hires Civic Leader for Key Campaign Role

Atlanta mayoral candidate Peter Aman announces another big hire for the campaign. Anna Foote, an Atlanta native and longstanding community and nonprofit leader joins the campaign as Deputy Campaign Manager.

“We are thrilled to have Anna on board. Her management experience and deep connections in the community will be vital as we continue to build momentum,” said Aman.

Foote has established ties to many Atlanta neighborhood and civic organizations, from Neighborhood Planning Units to Community Improvement Districts. She has volunteered and worked on more than 25 local and state campaigns. Her private sector experience includes 14 years at The Coca-Cola Company. Most recently, she was the Executive Deputy Director at Hope Atlanta, the state’s largest not-for-profit provider of housing and case management for the homeless.

“Peter and I share the same leadership principle: we work better when we work together,” said Foote. “I’m with Peter because he is the only mayoral candidate who can bring the private, public and philanthropic communities together to work for every neighborhood and every person.”

Foote’s neighborhood leadership includes seven years as board chair of NPU-N, eight years as board chair of the Poncey-Highland Neighborhood Association and three years as secretary of the Atlanta Planning Advisory Board.

In March, Aman hired Fred Hicks, one of the leading political consultants and strategists in the southeast, to serve as campaign manager. Foote will support Hicks in leading a campaign team of consultants and staffers. In recent weeks, the campaign has launched a wide-ranging marketing offensive, including print, digital, billboards, radio, and TV ads. Aman also just announced the opening of his campaign headquarters in the historic Odd Fellows building on Auburn Avenue.
